ATEX certification is an explosion-proof directive of the EU CE certification, with the directive code 2014/34/EU. It is mandatory for explosion-proof equipment and products to enter the EU market, and the product certification standards are EN 60079 and ISO 80079 series. ATEX certification has different issuing agencies, and most of them adopt the certification method of "product testing factory review". Currently, only ATEX certificates issued by ECM institutions have a clear validity period of 5 years. The ATEX certification certificates issued by other authoritative organizations such as TUV, CSA, SGS, TI, etc. do not have an expiration date because they require an annual on-site audit of the production factory of the certified products. Only by passing the audit can the validity of the certificate be maintained. Of course, when encountering standard updates, certificate updates are required.
